Once upon a time, in a small town called Bethlehem, something amazing happened.

Let's open our hearts and listen to the wonderful story from the book of Luke, chapter 2.

John, Could you read the verse?

"But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people." Luke 2:10

What could be the good news that brings joy to everyone?

What is the good news that will make people all around the world joyful? Let's explore the story together today.

In those days, the ruler wanted to count all the people, so everyone had to go to their hometown. A man named Joseph and his wife Mary had to travel a long way to Bethlehem. Mary was going to have a baby, and it was a very special baby—the Messiah that God promised!

When they arrived in Bethlehem, there was no room in the inns.

"Knock Knock, Do you have a room?

"No!" (In a cold voice)

 Let's try the other hotel.

"Knock Knock, Do you have a room?

"No!" (In a cold voice)

Let's try the last one.

"Knock Knock, Do you have a room?

"No!" (In a cold voice)

Oh... There was no empty room.

But the owner of a certain barn said,

"We have a barn with animals... Would you like to use it?"

That place was a dirty and smelly barn.

There were other animals like chickens, horses, and goats.

In the middle, there was even a manger, which is a feeding trough for horses.

And that's where baby Jesus was born.

But when Jesus was born, the angels sang,

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!"

The shepherds who saw this also glorified and praised God.

Everyone, Christmas is a day to commemorate the birth of Jesus.

Jesus came down to this earth to take away our sins.

If Jesus hadn't come to this earth,

we would have lived in deep darkness.

But Jesus came as a great light.

We want to live following Jesus, who is the great light.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for reminding us of the birth of baby Jesus.

We have received the priceless gift of Jesus.

Every Christmas, we thank you for the birth of Jesus and give glory to you.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
